Overview

The Inventory & Procurement Executive is responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's inventory levels while ensuring timely procurement of necessary goods and services. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain management principles and a keen eye for cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:

  • Oversee and optimize inventory levels to ensure efficient operations and minimize stock outs.

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies, including forecasting, replenishment planning, and cycle counting.

  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

• Procurement:

  • Identify and source reliable vendors for goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.

  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable deals.

  • Manage the procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.

• Supply Chain Optimization:

  • Analyze supply chain processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.

  • Implement initiatives to improve supply chain performance, such as lead time reduction, transportation optimization, and risk management.

• Vendor Development:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, fostering collaboration and trust.

  • Evaluate vendor performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Cost Management:

  • Continuously seek ways to reduce procurement costs without compromising quality or service.

  • Implement cost-saving measures, such as bulk purchasing, standardization, and supplier consolidation.

• Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure that procured goods and services meet quality standards and specifications.

  • Implement quality control measures and monitor product performance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

• Hands-on experience in reverse engineering is a must-have for this position.

• Proven experience in inventory management and procurement.

• Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.

• Proficiency in inventory control software and tools.

• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of Six Sigma quality standards and methodologies.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Experience in designing and costing products or processes.

• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.

• Experience in vendor development and relationship management.
